Life Skills Boot Camp: Cleaning Week
Life Skills Boot Camp Week 2: Cleaning. As expected, this one began with less enthusiasm . But Donovan mastered bathrooms in one day by scouring three out of four bathrooms and earned the title Toilet Master . Sera wanted to be Vacuum Queen and she learned how to take apart both the vacuums to empty and clear out the hair. Maia had a slow start but was lured in by dusting, and ended up thoroughly cleaning her room and is now on her to mastering all tasks!
However… today we had an epic cleaning fail. I showed Maia how to mop in our entryway, and she used a squirt and mop cleaner for the wood floor. She wanted to earn another check today so she decided to mop the bathroom. I told her to use just a little squirt of dawn for tile but didn’t supervise…. Well, she squirted out the dawn like it was the regular mop cleaner instead of just putting some in the bucket . We had to pour buckets of water to dilute all the soap and every towel to soak it up. The floor will never be so clean again . So I guess I need to add the difference between concentrates and ready to use cleaners to the checklist!
He is very skeptical of the benefit of making his bed but he knows how ;)
DZ declared her… the Dust Bunny! After she discovered the satisfaction of dusting, the vacuum seemed less scary.
