Maia's 10th Birthday Party
Felt so clever when I thought of Maiacraft for Minecraft 😂🥰🤩
Happy Maiacraft Birthday!!! Maia loves Aphmau, a YouTuber that plays minecraft, and she knew exactly what she wanted to do at her party! I just took notes and got started building stuff 🥰🥰🥰. Her plan was so much fun and just like the game. They first gathered wood blocks that we hid in her bedroom. They took that to the crafting table to turn them into sticks. Then they needed diamonds!

The kids loved the perler bead pickaxes we made! Everyone actually took theirs home!
Maia, Eric and Serenity build a maze out of crazy forts. I added the walls and hid gems in them for the kids to mine! We made perler bead pickaxes for everyone! They needed two diamonds to make their sword but they could also find red stone, gold and emeralds for fun. Then one stick plus two diamonds = sword! Then it was time to head to the nether for some netherite to upgrade the sword!
Maia did such a great job of leading every guest through her party plan! Everyone had a blast! She’s a great hostess :)
Plastic tablecloths printed with Minecraft grass worked perfectly as walls.
Upstairs Sera dressed up as an Enderman and directed the kids to defeat the ghasts. Once they shot all six ghasts with nerf darts she gave them a purple nether crystal. Maia was careful not to look Sera in the eye because evidently Enders are peaceful unless you look at them 😂
Then they took the netherite to the smithing table and crafted a netherite sword. (Made of perler beads) They took that to the enchanting table and got a full size enchanted netherite sword to defeat the ender dragon! (That’s the purple sword so it was perfect for the party theme!)

Grandma Diane helped me make the swords and they worked great! And the kids wanted to keep them 🥰
Eric was outside dressed as the Ender dragon, but he couldn’t be defeated until they destroyed all the End Crystals (individual piñatas). The kids had a blast!!!
Eric was an awesome dragon. He confused Finn though ;)
After a break for donuts and presents, we headed back outside. The end of all those Minecraft videos is blowing everything up with tnt, so we did a whole bunch of that! (Diet Coke and Mentos)

Nether portal! I went with this color scheme instead of all the neon green and black of the usual creepers. Still Maia’s favorite colors and with the purple hair 🤩
Maia and I had so much fun making perler bead Minecraft swords as favors! We liked it so much we made pickaxes too for them to use in the diamond digging maze!!
Ender Dragon testing =)
Maia was thrilled at the end portal! And she was impressed that I drew Ender eyes leading to it. She said “I didn’t even tell you about those!!!” My google skills are excellent ;)
The Rice Krispie cake looked just like a Minecraft cake! Just with fruit strips cut into the squares for the top =) There are so many fun food tags for Minecraft. We had redstone (strawberries), slime balls (grapes), gold (cheese cubes), and sticks(pretzels). We also made a Minecraft cake with Rice Krispies and fruit strips!
