Maia Fall 2023: Baking, Swimming, Girl Scouts, Fun!
Maia is trying to convince me we need the new Harry Potter cookbook from the book fair by making something from our last one. It *may* have worked 😂😂😂 Puffskeins! (Cream puffs) It was a delicious argument =)
Maia’s big goal for the fall is to get strong and fast enough to join the Jenks swim team! She took private lessons at the high school until they had to stop, and she took two lessons a week at Miller Swim School for awhile! She was swimming four days a week some weeks and it definitely paid off, her teacher told me that she was so fast he has to slow her down sometimes to work on technique!
She leveled up at Miller!!! =)
Maia’s Girl Scout troop is basically inactive, so our current plan is to sign up for all the fun classes GSEOK offers! This fall she’s done a Woodworking class where she got to hand saw ghosts and make a nail and thread pumpkin. She’s great with tools!
She loves skating!
Maia and I went shopping at Michael’s and she talked me into some cute Halloween decor! This YIKES and a potion bottle sign. I love it! She’s a great enabler ;)
Maia loves Finn!
Maia made dozens of these little rainbow loom bracelets! She made them for family, friends, and a bunch for herself too! So cute!
Even with a new bed Maia finds interesting sleeping configurations.
Maia took all the leftover yellow stuff from Jenks Wild. So cute!!!
Maia and her friend raked leaves for a neighbor! The neighbor was so kind to let them and even paid them!
Maia got a new floor! Her carpet was in TERRIBLE shape so it was past time to do something about it. Now we don’t have to worry about Finn in there quite as much.
Maia got to earn a Horseback Riding badge with Girl Scouts! She loved it so much she might want to go to riding camp in the summer.

Maia had a dr appointment, and she just happened to have pulled her snowflakes off the giving tree at school, so we did a little shopping before her appointment! She loved picking the perfect presents for them!
Cookie Delivery! We made too many cookies so Sera and Maia took them to the neighbors to share!
