Serenity Spring 2022
Serenity in the Spring! She spent a lot of time in my closet for online school, but we managed to have some fun! She got bangs and looks SO grown up! She reads constantly, and has gone through all of Eric’s comics and now the Order of the Stick and Girl Genius webcomics we love. She is very into Genshin Impact, and one of the characters had bangs and a long braid, and that is her current hair plan. She’s been writing tons of fanfiction, mostly in her mind, about the characters that began in that video game and now get inserted into any story she is inspired by. Lumi is one of the main characters I hear about a lot, and I LOVE it! Her dimension hopping character.

Serenity’s school celebrated JMS Blast, an awesome end of the year party with inflatables and a color run! Serenity attended, and she was very excited to run into Lillyan, the one person she knows at a school with hundreds of kids in her grade. it was fun, and she took a picture with the sign for me! We LOVE her new school!
We were fancy and matching so we had to take a picture. I love the peace fingers and the necklace. Serenity is always wearing a necklace these days!
I came home from giving DZ insulin one day and saw this on the door. Serenity finished school early and decided to do laundry, clean my room, and several other chores to surprise me! Such fun!

Serenity had one in person final for her Algebra 2 class at the Freshman Academy… so we took a last day of school picture by the sign! She’ll attend this school for 9th grade, but advanced math got her here early =)
She dressed up for her Drama and Voice lesson recital. So grown up!!! And still goofy and adorable and sweet. I love her so much! She sang Speechless from Aladdin, and made me cry. She worked really hard! Her monologue was hilarious too, and I LOVED it! Space Unicorns lol. She used a shortened version of that monologue for her Performance Drama audition. I am so proud of her for finding something she loves doing, and putting her whole heart into it. So wonderful! And I cannot say enough good things about her teacher, Ms. Michelle. She encouraged her and raised her confidence so much! We are so lucky!
The air conditioner went out upstairs, so Serenity spent a couple weeks sleeping in the tornado closet. She did not mind a bit. ;)
