Maia Spring 2022
Maia had a wonderful spring!!!
Maia took gymnastics this spring! She decided lessons were not her favorite thing, but she stuck it out and enjoyed the Candyland themed performance. She is really strong and even though she decided not to continue, it was great experience. Plus I did the best braided pigtail ever so there’s that ;)
Maia has been having great fun playing with makeup lately! She got some tips from Ava, and has had a blast playing makeup with her friends Kennedy and Leah.
I cropped out her friend since I haven’t asked her mom about posting pics with her, but Maia LOVES having a friend close enough she can walk over to her house. Kennedy is SO sweet! They love baking together.
Busy day for Maia! Mother Road Market has kids cooking classes and she LOVED it! Then the zoo was there so she got to pet a snake and make seed paper. Then we went to moms to meet the new kittens she had yesterday, that Serenity already gave adorable names to. Then Girl Scout pool party and outdoor art! Whew
Maia is full of great project ideas! She is the one most likely to dig into my cardboard stash to build cool stuff. She also helped me make a new batch of cornbags this spring!
Some kids sleep with stuffed animals, mine sleep with hole punches and books. I love her SO much!!!
Girl Scouts Outdoor Art! Raina and her mom decided to have their badge workshop at Woodward park! The girls made art using flower petals and leaves (from the grocery store, not picked). Then they had a blast exploring the park, learning about wildflowers, and climbing trees! Maia climbs like a boss.
Maia talked me into buying this kite when we were shopping for baskets and candy for Eric at Cost Plus World Market. It’s a little Kawaii critter, sooo cute. When she got to the park and we got the kite in the air, Maia said “She’s flying by herself!!!” Evidently she had never flown a kite actually in the air before, just run around with one. It was so much fun, and a perfect day to fly!
Maia still loves Girl Scouts! We hosted an End of the Year Party/Science badge workshop and it was a blast! When I started decorating Maia wanted to help so she hung up the purple streamers, using the big ladder and everything. I just handed her the streamer while she was at the top. It looked great and we kept it up for lots of fun events!
I had to run by the Girl Scout store to pick up the patches, and they had an awesome crystal science kit that made the rock theme a perfect fit for the science party. We grew crystals, and the girls dug into another science kit and did several experiments, mostly bubble related I believe. Then Maia dug into her makeup stash and had a Troop 44 themed makeup event. Soooo cute!
