Grapolicious

While still riding the rush of excitement from Maia’s birthday party, I decided we really needed to repaint her walls before building the shelves I finally decided to buy. She had been wanting purple walls, and I’ve been looking for bookshelves with cabinets or a dresser to hold some of her clothes since her closet is small and usually acts as a climbing gym . Donovan cleaned out a bunch of books he was done with to make room for the Keeper of the Lost Cities series, and Maia wanted ALL his books and all of hers as well, so it was time to stop shopping and buy the shelves!!!

So the Sunday after her busy birthday Saturday, Papa came over and we painted her room! I sent him a pic when we were picking purple paint at Lowes and told him we had a project and he immediately texted back to ask when he could help!! . He taught Maia a bunch of painting tips and did all the cutting in so she and I got to play with rollers!

Then Eric, Maia and I assembled the new shelves and rearranged furniture! Since then she and I have been organizing. She has a shelf for nonfiction, one for graphic novels, a tall one for picture books, and room for all her chapter book series… when she isn’t sleeping with them. I love organizing!!!! And if you read this far… I may just have a real organizing job soon
