Girl Scouts
Maia’s a brownie!! We had to move bridging inside as I scheduled it during the one hour on Saturday that it was absolutely flooding outside. She was so excited she was up at 6:45 and she helped me set up all the decorations once we were sure it had to be inside and masked. She picked the badge she wants to plan for the troop to earn! They said the law as they went up the stairs, through the rainbow curtain where Serenity gave them their new vest and was ready to answer any questions they had about brownies
I love my new plan for Girl Scouts this year. Every girl chose a badge they were interested in earning, and their family signed up to lead the meeting for that badge. Every girl is taking a turn, and that means I only need to be in charge of the bridging meeting, end of year party, and help Maia run the badge she chose, Eco Friends! I think it’s a great step to the troop actually being girl-led!
We had a blast at the Eco Friend day in November! Maia planned lots of fun things, including playing with our animal legos, sketching in nature, learning to build a campfire by using cupcakes, and playing Hit the Habitat Trail to learn more about our animal friends! It was a fun day!
The October badge was the Bugs Badge hosted by Anastasia. They painted coffee filter butterflies and scoured the yard for bugs to observe.
The December badge was at the planetarium, but Maia had a stomach bug and had to miss it. Hopefully she can make it up later!
