Hi.

Bunny Hunt! and Easter

Bunny Hunt! and Easter

Can you find the hidden bunnies?

Can you find the hidden bunnies?

Bunny Hunt:  The kids started getting excited for the Bunny Hunt in March!  They found all the bunnies and sorted them into piles of their favorite bunnies.  So since each kid had chosen six bunnies, this year I hid a bunny for each of them in six different rooms/areas.  Each bunny held an egg filled with puzzle pieces.  After they found a lot of bunnies they started working together to build the puzzle!  It was so much fun!  They all love doing puzzles and can all help with that.  On the back of the puzzle I wrote a clue for them to find their Easter Baskets.  This year they were in the attic.  Donovan got batting gloves and he squealed with joy!  He jumped up and down, he was so excited!  Donovan and Serenity each got a book of the Wings of Fire graphic novels, which they had mentioned wanting more than once.  Serenity got bath bombs, and Donovan got a basketball since he’s been playing at the neighborhood court fairly often.  He used Eric’s ball, so we got him a junior size ball that should be easier to handle.  Maia got two little Lego flower kits that she built the same day, plus some kinetic sand and a new 5 minute Paw Patrol book.  It was a really fun day!!!

Botanic garden: Lizard love and hedgehogs.  We went to the Botanic Garden for their Easter event again this year, and it was fun!  They had some special animals in their petting zoo that we’d never gotten to touch before.  There was an adorable hedgehog, which we loved after reading Hedgehugs over and over since Abbey gave it to us.  And Donovan adored the little lizard.  The lizard ran right up his arm to his neck and made him giggle.  So cute.  He got the hang of making a little treadmill for the lizard by rotating his hands so the lizard could keep moving from one hand to the next.  Maia and Serenity enjoyed the lizards too.  So fun!

We did egg hunts in the yard too! Once again, the finder of the gold egg took the next turn hiding the eggs =) The kids got a little candy and coupons for things like ice cream visits, sonic, park visits, and things like that.
