Super Fantastico!!!!
Everybody wore their shirts! Even Saoirse got wrapped up in one =)
Then there was the big event, Fantastico itself. Eric planned an amazing game that was based on Clue. Someone had stolen the Winter Sapphire from Winter Park. We broke up into teams, and each team got cards with Thieves, Locations, and Detectives. Just like clue, you had to figure out which Thief, Detective, and Location no team had, and that was the solution to the game. You earned the right to ask questions either by going on photo scavenger hunts (for clues) or by taking on challenges. The pictures were amazing! Here are just a few favorites (really hard to narrow this down!!!
Here’s one clue =)
And here’s one group’s awesome pic!!!
And Evie rode the bike! It’s fun to see how different groups came up with different fun pictures from the clues =)
Some of the clues were really zoomed in, challenging to find!
Maia and Evie got tired after awhile so when we went for this sandy clue we wrote their names in the sand trap on the golf course =)
This bear took some fun pictures =)
Bonus for getting everyone in the picture!
I love that Maggie rode the knight! =)
This one combined two clues, the black knight close up and a pic of the gondola!
Some of the challenges were riddles (from a Sherlock Holmes game), or physical challenges like doing a yo-yo, somersaults, juggling, whatever Eric could come up with. It was FUN! And then the first team to figure out and guess the solution got to hunt down the bad guy in a game of Scotland Yard. So I knew the game was leading up to a round of Scotland Yard. But I couldn’t believe that the Thief was Mr. X and the location was London. It didn’t even occur to me but it was so obvious! Hilarious. Probably better that I was clueless because I got to enjoy collecting all the clues, and I adore all the pictures people took! They were so fun and creative! And I get to scrapbook them! =) Yay!!! And the team was successful in capturing Mr. X, so they all got Winter Sapphires (and we had enough for all the kids too, they were shiny blue rocks from the gift shop).
Mr. X is caught!
Winter Sapphires =)
In addition to the photo scavenger hunt for clues, there were fun mysteries to solve to earn more clues!
