Alli's Wedding

Allli and Jimmy are married!!!! It was a perfectly wonderful wedding, and I've never seen such a high percentage of people actually dancing at a reception. As Maia said fairly loudly during the ceremony, "this is a good show!"  Don Thorp successfully ran Maia out of energy. He danced with her at the reception for hours.  She even fell asleep in the car on the way back to the hotel, and she slept soundly as Eric carried her in the carseat (She’s 3 now so that was NOT easy) all the way through the lobby, down the hall to our room.  And she slept while the other kids got ready for bed and I took a shower.  She was wiped out!  She napped again on the plane the next day!  It was astonishing! I am so happy we got to go! 

Bow ties �. Donovan and Carson carried the rings, very carefully since the boxes were loose! No rings lost! Dz was happy to walk with his buddy.  At the reception Dz told me very seriously, "you have to watch out for Sneaky Uncle Don". Good that he's learned that young :)

Maia was highly enamored of her flower girl dress. On the bus to the wedding, she made me take five photos of hr golden shoes, and declared "I have my princess dress and golden shoes, where is my crown? Where is my castle?"   She also declared herself “FLOWER GIRL!”  (Yes, said in all caps, like a superhero name.  Hey, if it got the flower crown on her head I was all for it.)  As far as flower girl duties, Maia actually walked! And wore her flower crown! Although there may not be proof because she pulled it off and plopped it on my head in the family pic.

 All the kids enjoyed the dancing, and dinner was delicious! Serenity made friends with a peacock that was roaming the grounds.  I loved hearing all the happy toasts and learning more about Jimmy, who seems like a perfect addition to the family.  I am SO SO happy!
