December 24th: Christmas Eve

My favorite part of Christmas Eve was undoubtedly listening to Christmas music and reading by the tree as the kids wound down from the day.  I got to snuggle Maia and DZ and read them several Christmas books.  After awhile, I decided that the sentiment of a watched pot never boils applies to Maia falling asleep, so I went in the other room to read and chant “Must stay awake longer than the kids, must stay awake longer than the kids.” 

Other fun things we did today included Skyping with Ann and John and opening the presents they got the kids.  Maia ran around in her Wonder Woman costume all day, and immediately built her lego kit =)  All three kids played Magformers with the new set, and Serenity is over the moon about her fitbit!!!  She got 5,000 steps and slept for 7.5 hours.  I’m really excited to get information on how much she actually sleeps!  I hope it will be really helpful!.

Cousin Sleepover!  They slept a bit at least =)  

Maia adores her new calendar.  She campaigned hard for Eric to keep his space calendar in her room too =)  She went through every month and she knows at least one family birthday for every month =)
