I surprised the kids with a science kit today.  It was Frozen Science!  They got to make instant snow.  It was SOOOO much fun!  Science experiments are the best.  The kit had this cool stuff that looks like tiny white sand, but when you add water it absorbs it and feels just like snow!  Even a little cold.  They mixed it in cups, then they put scoops into their hand so they could feel it form!  They made snowballs to stick in the freezer to make a snowman later on.  Then we made some more and colored it red, yellow and blue to make a rainbow tube. The colors are starting to mix to make secondary colors, which is exciting and fun =)

After we were done with snow fun, we took Donovan to Grandma’s for him to get some one-on-one time with Grandma.  The girls were not done with science day, so I pulled out some baking soda, added water to make balls, and made snowmen that they could melt with blue glittery vinegar.  After that we finally tried the skittles dissolving experiment I’d been thinking about since Halloween.  Serenity is currently reading one of her science books to see if she can find another experiment we have supplies for.

Grandma sent pics of DZ =)  He's gone in the hot tub, played with her puppies for a surprisingly long time, jumped on the trampoline and eaten three burritos.  So very happy boy =)
