December 9th: Game Date!

We woke up from the sleepover and had one more hour before we left the aquarium.  We got a donut and a banana, visited our turtle friends again, and rolled up our sleeping bags. It was so much fun, and the girls did so well I’m seriously considering camping in a cabin in the spring. 

After that, I took Serenity off to Grandma’s house for her next sleepover.  She and mom enjoyed her hot tub, played dominoes, jumped on grandma’s trampoline and visited her animals.  Oh, and used Grandma’s fancy art supplies.  Serenity had a blast and was thrilled to get to sleep in Grandma’s new house.  I think she was the first guest =)

Maia and DZ got to have a day with Papa.  They played all their favorite games, had oatmeal and toast, and enjoyed a little Blues Clues.  They ended of the day sleeping in Maia's room, for the second night in a row as they got to have a sleepover while Serenity and I were at the aquarium.  They were sleepy kiddos =)  Donovan crashed even though Maia was still singing songs... right next to his head.  Eric went in to tell them to try to sleep, since he was hearing so much talking, but it was just Maia talking to herself =)

Meanwhile, Eric and I had an ACTUAL DATE.  We spent the day at Covenant playing a Lord of the Rings card game in Epic mode.  We lost, a lot, but we had soooo much fun.  We are totally doing it again.  Plus I got to spin the gym a ton.  We played the game again at home and managed to beat it =) I'm adding Heather Warren's lovely picture since we neglected to take any!
