December 11th: Neighborhood Walk

Today we took a walk around our neighborhood!  I asked the kids if they wanted to give prizes like last year or have a scavenger hunt and they said both!  Donovan added that we should give something yummy but not sweet, like popcorn.  So we made little prizes with a bag of microwave popcorn to hang on the doors of our favorite houses.  It was a beautiful day for a walk, we hardly needed coats.  Serenity carried the prizes, Maia carried the clipboard with the scavenger hunt, and DZ carried the crayon.  We found most of the things on the list!  One house had three of our items, a gingerbread cookie (which was in a hot cocoa hot tub, too cute) a nativity, and santa on the roof!  Score!  We left them a prize.  Serenity left a prize at Daniel’s house because he had beautiful star lights in one tree, and the projector lights she loves.  DZ saved his second prize for the house with the R2D2.  Maia gave her last prize to a house with really bright blue trees, her favorite color. =)  We are still looking for Snoopy, a toy soldier, Mickey and a train.
