December 21st: Barrett! And a new ornament for the tree =)Tree: Today’s advent calendar was a brand new photo ornament of Serenity for the tree. I want to take a minute to remember just how much she LOVES our Christmas trees. When I put the first one up, she saw it as she was coming down the stairs, and said “My Christmas tree is here!” She went directly to it to explore the lights and ornaments. She loves moving the ornaments around. I think her favorites are the penguin with her picture, all the white snowflakes, and the stitched owl. She calls them pretty! Lately she points to the snowflakes with and exaggerated “brrrr!” It’s so cute. I think she likes Dad’s lights even better, as they are multi-colored, which is why I got her some for her secret room. The new ornament today, though, instead of going on the big tree, went straight up to the pink tree in her room =)
Oh, and another shocking moment, Serenity even NAPPED in her new bed! Yay!
The biggest excitement of today was that we got to have a sleepover with Barrett! When he came over she squealed “Barrett!!!!” And followed him all over the house continuing to say his name and hug him. They ran around playing and watching Curious George’s Christmas, until Eric got home. Then Barrett finally got to play some star wars, and they did a lot of spinning and bouncing on our bed. Eric would toss Serenity on the bed, then Barrett, and then Serenity would fall on Barrett and hug him. Barrett said, “She’s a good tackler!” =) We did a little crafting and I made some cookies for them. Such a great evening!
