Serenity got a big girl bed today. I was a little worried. Well, I just didn't know how she'd react I thought maybe we'd have to be up there telling her to get back in her bed and not play with toys or whatever...So far so good though. When we shut the door she said, "so excited, so excited, big girl bed!" She started saying she wanted Mama, and Eric went upstairs to sing her a song. After one song though she said night night, and has been quiet for nearly four hours! And Eric said she wasn't even out of bed when she went up, she was sitting right on the edge talking! She’s so wonderful!
The advent activity for the day was to enjoy our home movies for the last year. I barely got the dvd finished today, so we got to see from July 2009-2010! She has grown and changed so much, it’s incredible! In July 2009 she was just barely using single words and short phrases, and now she’s using full sentences =) She learned her letters, shapes, colors. She was addicted to SuperWhy and discovered Beauty Beast. =) So many happy memories!!
Serenity and I did a lot of play-doh today. At first she wanted to do her favorite play-doh game, making penguins, and then putting them down for a nap in their playdoh beds with covers and pillows. After a while, I made a tree out of green play-doh and let her decorate it. I made red balls for ornaments and made her a yellow star when she asked for a star. Then, Serenity came up with her own color scheme, she wanted dark green ornaments and star on the light green tree. It’s actually very trendy this year according to my google reader =)
Oh, and we also put up a regular swing! Serenity sat on it and held on well when I pushed her (very gently) Yay!
