Today we met Tina for Christmas in the Park! Downtown San Jose has a beautiful collection of animatronic Christmas displays and hundreds of Christmas trees! Serenity loved seeing the Christmas train although of course she wanted to ride it. There were penguins and nutcracker dancers and reindeer! The tree decorations were mostly handmade and full of fun crafting ideas. It was great to get to see Tina and have a nice walk through the park. Serenity was in a little bit of a Mama mood, but she's still recovering from her cold so extra snuggle requirements are understandable. We stopped in a European pastry shop for treats. Serenity got a star sugar cookie, and I got a lemon croissant (yum! I'm so glad Gonzo approves of lemon. And apple =)
Serenity never actually went down for her nap, so we spent a little time crafting in the afternoon. We made snowflakes from popsicle sticks! She did even better than I hoped. We had to paint on glue, sprinkle glitter, glue the sticks together and add gems. I wielded the glue container but she did all the gem placement and made the x's from the sticks. She was very excited and asked to make even more!
