When I got to Tulsa in April, 2006, Casey was eager to show me his new skill. He can slide down the fireman's pole! Jen told me one day she was watching him play on the playground, and suddenly he just grabbed the pole and slid down fearlessly! He does it really well. He still plays soccer with his team. One day he got a bit impatient with his game, which had lots of pauses, so he charged a different field for their ball. His explanation was, "Well Dad, I wanted to go for the ball, and that one was moving." Makes perfect sense when he explains it =) We had fun playing pirates on the playground, searching for crystal diamonds =)
I made up a new game called Hide the Dinosaur. Their house is a bit limited as far as hide and seek goes, after you hide in the shower and behind the doors, there's nowhere else for a normal big person to hide. But there are lots of places to hide dinosaurs! So we take turns hiding them and then finding them. It's fun! He is getting really interested in dinosaurs lately, which is fun. I remember when Alex went through the dinosaur phase. I think it's cute when four year olds say brachiosaurus =) On Easter Sunday, Barrett had a first, he slept through the night! And then he didn't do it again till I came back in June =) Jen said I had to move in with them, since he only slept through the night when I visited =) I also got to spend a day with Raegan. She was on the verge of crawling, and had such a cute giggle! I would wave a lid so the air hit her face, and it made her giggle every time. I think we kept doing it for fifteen minutes, and it never stopped being cute! =) ![]() Easter at Billie's. Me, Jen and Barrett
