December 16th:Christmas Lego Building Today I pulled out all my holiday lego sets and we put them together! First, in the Advent calendar, I put three little Lego Creator Reindeer sets. The kids LOVED these! Maia would splay the legs out and say “She’s flying!” So cute. Throughout the day I worked on putting together my winter carousel and the Santa’s workshop set. Maia sat with me for more than an hour as I built the workshop, exclaiming happily over Santa, and the door with the key, and the ladder. She played very carefully and with wonderful focus. Still, things would come apart, and she’s give it to me and say “fix it!” Santa’s workshop has a sleigh with reindeer and a toy machine. I really love that set. I ordered the Christmas train from this year, but it’s backordered so we will add it to the set next year.
In the evening we headed to Jen’s house for Barrett’s birthday. It was a nice night! Donovan asked what we’d be doing at Barrett’s party, and I told him I thought Jen was just making dinner. He said, “Oh, so it’s like a feast?” =)
