December 10th: Neighborhood Walk to Elsa's House
Today's advent activity was to take a walk around our neighborhood to see the lights. It was a PERFECT night for it! It was so comfortable we didn't even need coats. Maia didn't even wear shoes! Our goal was to walk to Elsa's House, and we did!
Isn't it beautiful? We also saw Santa in an airplane, some really beautiful blue trees, reindeer, snowmen, and a couple flamingos. =) So much fun! Maia loved pointing out all the colors. And I made it despite spraining my left foot today to match the right foot I sprained in my spectacularly klutzy move while hanging stuff over my bed last week.
Eric took the day off work today since he had a few vacation days left. He picked today so he could have a DZ day! DZ doesn't go to school on Thursdays. Eric let him pick whatever he wanted to do, even offering to take him to the Discovery Lab, out to eat, anything. DZ requested a pajama day full of games. Eric was happy to agree. They played dice masters, X-men, ninja turtles, and Paw Patrol. And Robot Turtles. And maybe more! They also built an awesome marble run and truly crazy crazy forts! =)
