Today we went to Serenity’s first movie at the movie theater, the Princess and the Frog! She was very good, she sat through the whole thing, although it was scheduled during naptime so that may have helped with the mellowness. It was Grandma’s idea, she invited all the grandkids and great-grandkids to the movie. Raegan, Carson, Casey, Barrett and Ethan came! Along with Kelly, Kyle, Jen and big Casey! It was a blast! The movie itself was a little strange with all the voo-doo, but Serenity did like the frogs, as they did lots of hopping and some ribbiting. We also had a great lunch with Daddy, taking hamburgers to his office friends, and then after naptime we had some crafting time. Oh, and I nearly forgot, we made oatmeal cookies (with whole wheat flour) in the morning. Serenity helped me pour the ingredients in and stir. She enjoyed the taste of the sugar but not so much the raw flour. They turned out great! Next I’m going to experiment with reducing the sugar so I can make cookies and not ruin my Sonoma diet. After Eric got home for dinner (Serenity ate an entire enchilada and declared it yummy!) we skyped with Far Far and Vanaema and played some basketball. Serenity was in giggles over Eric’s “Alley-oop!” Such a fun and crazy busy day!
