Today was such fun! We went to Grandma’s house first thing in the morning to work on her decorations some more. The garland is up for good this time thanks to real hooks instead of the sticky kind. Serenity and Grandma watched a little Super Why while I worked on the high stuff. Then we picked up lunch from Pei Wei for Daddy and had a picnic at his office. It’s so nice to get to see him in the middle of the day! Serenity was acting sleepy when we picked up lunch but she perked up and had a blast with her Daddy! Then we came home for a nice nap and then afternoon playtime! Tonight’s advent calendar activity was to fix breakfast for dinner. So Serenity and I dressed up in our fancy new aprons from Abbey and made pumpkin pancakes (whole grain to fit with my Sonoma diet) , sweet potato hash browns, and orange rolls(just for Serenity and Eric). I didn’t think about it at the time but the whole dinner was orange colored. =) Serenity really enjoyed the roll and the pancake, but she didn’t quite know what to think about the hash browns. I enjoyed them though, and with the sweet potato instead of white potato it was healthy too! Another great day!
