Hi.

Welcome!

Serenity in October

It's hard to believe there is anything I haven't already written about in October, but I found one or two things to add =) IMG_2747 IMG_3429_forweb IMG_3448_forweb IMG_3470_forweb

We had some more fun Daisy activities this month! This festival downtown had free pony rides, a bounce house, pumpkin painting, and more fun!

Jogathon! Serenity did five laps.

Serenity's first field trip!

11/8

Serenity has started curtseying when she asks for things. "Mama, may you please get me some milk?" Then curtsey. It's really fancied up the atmosphere around here =)

Serenity is extremely excited about the play at school. She was telling us all about it, and having us stand in for all the characters. Mrs. Carter told me that she was doing really well as the narrator. She pays attention and knows just when it's her turn to talk again, and she hasn't really needed any coaching. She'll even mouth other people's lines and poke Stewart when it's his turn.

Serenity had her first field trip! Maia and I went along, of course. Visiting the pumpkin patch at Livesay Orchards in Porter with a class full of kindergarteners was fantastic. They each got to choose a pumpkin, have a hay ride, and play in the pumpkin play zone. Also, they learned some fun facts about pumpkins, including the fact that the stem is not a handle. Serenity was very stern with me when she caught me carrying her pumpkin by the stem. She was buddies with Elizabeth. I didn't see it, but evidently when it was time to choose buddies she was motioning to Elizabeth very emphatically.

Serenity also had her first sleepover with a friend! She was invited to stay at Elizabeth's house. It being her first sleepover I was a little unsure initially. Well, I knew she would absolutely love it and that she'd have no problems being away from home. But I'm happy to report that I did just fine ;) She loves Elizabeth and evidently tried to mind her manners.
