Serenity has some new quirks. =) She accepts the fact that she has to wear leggings under her dresses when she goes to school, but whenever she's inside she rolls them up so you can't see them. She's also taken to wearing one purple croc and one pink croc. It's a matter of style.
We played Obstacles at the family game night at school. My favorite solution that Serenity came up with was getting through the dark tunnel using echolocation with her flute.
I said I wish you wouldn't dump all the clothes I folded while you're looking for your panties. She said, "Well that's what happens when you have a girl that's all riled up."

Serenity has come up with a new game =) Frozen unicorns! Serenity is a unicorn, and she's frozen and needs to be given food to more. Pretend food or real food both work.
Henry and Serenity are getting married for real, not for pretend. Patricia gets to pick his wife, as long as she picks serenity

We've started working on our garden! Serenity's new year's wish was for a butterfly garden, so we are taking advantage of the beautiful weather to get it started! I dug the flower bed in the front to a larger wavy shape, and had irrigation and edging put in. We went shopping with Mom at Grogg's for some butterfly bushes, viburnum, and alyssum to plant in it, and I got a weeping crabapple tree. The tree should attract birds, and the butterfly bushes will be great for butterflies, obviously. We're going to add hawthorne and verbena for the butterflies as well.
In addition to digging out this bed, I took down the raised beds in the back. My major goal back there is to get rid of the rv pad to make space for a swing that holds three kids! So I can swing everyone at once =) Serenity and Donovan have been helping me separate the gravel from the dirt. I offered to pay a penny per rock that they moved. Serenity has kept a close count and is up to 278 rocks. Donovan doesn't count but he spends more time digging with me than Serenity does. He doesn't always move rocks though, sometimes it's just enthusiastic digging =) Both kids spent some time today using the construction trucks in the big pile of dirt leftover from the raised beds =) Such fun!!
This month Serenity got her chance to be the star student! She got to fill a bag with show and tell things, and she answered lots of fun questions about herself. She was thrilled to have her turn! She changed her mind on two things on her questionnaire. She decided her favorite stuffed animal was really Snowy, her snow leopard, which is definitely true. And she decided she wants to be a cheerleader when she grows up =)
