Eric asked Donovan some of his favorite things:
favorite color: orange blue and green
favorite food: circle crackers(Ritz) and daddy milk (Serenity gets Daddy milk, which is actually milk with carnation breakfast powder added. Donovan doesn't like the ingredient so his is actually regular milk, but we all call it Daddy Milk so he'll drink it =)

Ann was here for several days this month. Donovan and Serenity vied for her attention the entire time =) She played a lot of basketball with Donovan, which thrilled him. =) She also took them toy shopping and got Donovan this cool drill toy. When Eric was little, his favorite toy was a drill so she was excited to get one for DZ. She had gotten one for Serenity when she was little, but this one came with a huge set of screws that you can make patterns with so we couldn't resist it. Everyone here loves it. Including Eric =)

Donovan has been sick a lot this month! He got wheezy again, so I took him to the doctor. RSV again =( He got breathing treatments, which he did really well with! I asked him if he liked smelling, which he does. He sometimes randomly smells our feet. Anyway, I convinced him that smelling medicine was way cooler than regular medicine, and for the entire week of treatments he did it without complaint! The doctor heard a rattle though when we went in, so he had to get a chest x-ray to make sure he didn't have pneumonia. His lungs were fine, thankfully, and he was a rock star for the doctors. He was cooperative and patient with all the waiting. And he got stickers from every person he saw so I imagine he's going to associate doctors and hospitals with a lot of nice swag. His ear was infected too so he had antibiotics to take as well.
Donovan and Serenity play such fun things together. She pretends to be his teacher and plans all kinds of activities for them. They usually do this in the Ocean Room upstairs where I put her play school set from a few years ago and a selection of her school papers that were especially fun. Today they made a sticker graph. DZ was very proud to show it off. =) Another new game they've been playing lately is Cheetah Charge. That's about all there is to it, wearing cat ears or the mask I made for DZ's birthday and running as fast as they can around the house. It's so nice to see them playing, especially as there were a couple of weeks this month that one or the other of them was sick and miserable and not in the mood to play.
Donovan really wants to be helpful these days. A couple of times I've asked Serenity to grab a burp cloth and he races to try and get it first. So I've been trying to ask for his help sometimes too =) He went out into the yard to dig with me a lot too. I've been trying to move the raised beds off the rv pad so we can get rid of the cement to make space for a swing set, and he has been right beside me with his little shovel the whole time. He also make sure to hold the door open wide for me when I'm carrying Maia in the car seat. So sweet!
