Hi.

Welcome!

December 4th: Candy Cane Hunt and Shopping

December 4th: Candy Cane Hunt and Shopping Our Candy Cane Hunt has become a yearly tradition.  Serenity just gets so excited about hide and seek games, it's adorable!  And this year we had Donovan announcing, "Found it candy!"  He came down about half an hour before his sister and actually found the first candy cane.  Because it was in the way of his choo choo.  =)  He ate part of his candy cane and then played trains until Serenity woke up.  She quickly got to work finding the candy and negotiating how much she could eat.  Later in the day she rehid them several times for me to find. Yay!

Our shopping list was pretty adventurous, at least for me who normally buys everything except groceries online.  Our first stop nearly stopped our plans though because we discovered a bike sized for an eight year old does not fit in the Honda Accord.  The bike was for the little girl we picked off the Angel Tree yesterday.  We had to hang out at Wal-mart eating donuts and waiting for Jen to rescue us. =)  Lesson learned.  We still managed to get new shoes for Donovan, a haircut for Serenity, and we ordered Christmas presents for Daddy and Donovan from Serenity.

Oh, and I got to watch Serenity at dance since Daddy got home in time.  This means I got to watch the proud moment when my daughter licked the mirror in dance class.  Why?  I have no idea.
