These are the new games we started playing this year, or games that took up a lot of our time. We are big game people!
Neopets is entirely Andrew's fault. He got Chrissie completely addicted, and she spread it to Eric, and to all her nieces and nephews. Our pet is named Vinaiya. For those of you who don't know what we're talking about, Neopets is a fun, free website where you can play games, and have your own pet to take care of. It's really fun, and very addictive. I recommend playing Pyramids, Word Poker, Marblemen, Meerca Chase, and a game that's like Mastermind, but I can't remember what it's called right now. Those are our favorites. If you are signed up and aren't our neofriend, our username is chrissiebair
Neverwinter Nights is Don and Michael's fault. We had been talking about getting it, but they invited us, and so are the catalyst for our getting the game. Eric often plays with Brian and Gavin, sometimes Jennie. He's just started playing with Andrew and Eddie too. It is a good way to talk, because we have a conference software that lets you talk through the computer like a phone.
Almonaster is another of Eric's online games. It's a turn based strategy games, and although Sean, Eddie and Austin have stopped playing, he still plays with Jack, Juan, Fred, Belinda, Andrew and Gavin and Donald. Austin hosts this.
Munchkin is our newest board game, that Tina gave Eric for his birthday. We both love it! It's kind of a spoof on DnD. Lots of strategy, and funny cards.
Eric and I spend a lot of time on two player games now, since most of our gaming friends are in different towns. We play cribbage, which we learned from Gavin, and two-player bridge, pente, and sometimes quoridor and buffy.
Carcassone is a game Tina originally got from Germany, but now that there is an American version, almost all our friends are playing it. If you're not, you should be! =) It's sort of a puzzle game.
