| For Andrew's birthday this year Marilyn planned a rafting trip in the American River. Andrew, Marilyn, Wes, Robert, and Eric went. We had two days on the water. Both days our guide was Matt Halter. The first day we went on mostly class 3 rapids with a rather large group. Our boat handled the rapids well, and we even got the opportunity to rescue a couple people who fell off another boat at the "Troublemaker" rapid. The second day had more class 4 rapids, which weirdly didn't seem as hard as the first day, since we were pretty practiced at working together, and we trusted Matt's instructions. The main rapid of the day was "Tunnelshoot" and we got a chance to "surf" which filled our boat with water. |
