It’s hard to believe she is half a year old already! She is doing so many new things every day it’s a wonder =) At her Dr. visit she weighed 17.2 pounds and was 27.25 inches. That's 74th percentile and 92nd percentile! Right now she’s really playing with her mouth. Sometimes she opens and shuts her mouth repeatedly, like a guppy. It looks like she’s trying to lip-sync, or hold whole conversations with the big people. She just doesn’t quite know how to get the sounds out. She is making B sounds now, although it mostly comes out boooff (this involves much spit =) It’s very cute! She can also gzrbrt now, which makes Daddy very happy. I have movies of both of these things up on phanfare, e-mail me if you didn’t get to see them and would like to.

She sits very steadily now, she almost never falls unless she decides to dive for a toy that’s out of reach. However, this means she doesn’t spend much time on her tummy, and has stopped rolling at all! It makes me wonder if she will ever crawl =) We’ll see! Eric is very interested in all the new things she can do with her hands. She spins her wrists like she's twirling stuff, and passes things hand to hand. She still plays with her hands and fingers like they are such interesting and cool things =) She hugs me often now, and still likes kissing my face =) Ok, she’s kind of chewing my face, but I love it anyway =)
We started solid foods this morning! Rice cereal, although the way they have you mix it on the box it’s barely rice soup the first time. We’ll try again tonight with a slightly thicker mixture. She did a good job though, opening her mouth and swallowing. She did experiment with biting the spoon though, and occasionally blew bubbles in the milk. I’m fairly sure a little got down her at least!
