| Ok, so technically it's nowhere near Thursday. But I've been meaning to write this one for the last two Thursdays and just haven't managed it till now =) I LOVE singing. =) Unfortunately, I'm not that good at it. I had lots of ear infections when I was little and apparently it messed up my hearing, as I'm fairly tone deaf now. (although I'm told I used to sing fine. =) Anyway, I love singing, but I mostly do it alone as I don't want to inflict my vocal issues on others. But now that I have Serenity, I get to sing ALL the time! She doesn't care if my voice isn't perfect, she loves to hear me sing! I sing play songs like "If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands", "I'm a Little Teapot" or the "Itsy Bitsy Spider." I sing her to sleep with songs like "Twinkle Twinkle" and "Let's Go Fly a Kite." Mary Poppins is some of her favorite music, thanks to her Daddy who started us all singing it. I even sing in public now as I sing to Serenity even when we're on our walks. We're in our own little world so I just go for it. I love it, it makes me so happy. =) Now that we have a guitar, I hope to play and sing =) And I sing just a little bit better when I have a note to follow, so that's a plus too. Now if I can just figure out how to tune my guitar without begging David to come over and help =) |
