Crafts: Serenity loves to do crafts with Mama! We discovered Do-A-Dot markers this year, which we have used for all kinds of crafts and coloring projects. She loves to paint, using all the crazy paintbrushes I’ve collected for her. Over the year she has gained enough finger strength to squeeze the glue bottle herself, and she’s starting to learn to cut with scissors. I hold the paper while she cuts, and it will be a while before she has that down on her own. We do a lot of crafts with sticky back foam, including two of my favorites, the tree we made after reading Chicka Chicka ABC and the Gingerbread men we made using various shapes for eyes, noses, mouths and buttons. She has gotten to the point that we can do projects that take several steps and even days, like the sign we made for Daddy for Father’s Day. She painted various pictures, cut out sections she liked, and used sticky tape to tape the pieces behind the letters I cut out. I think it turned out beautifully!
