Serenity's Freshman Year

Sera was nominated for a Trojan Choice award by her Oklahoma History teacher! I love her enthusiasm 🥰🥰🥰 She loved her freshman year, especially her wonderful teachers. She took Advanced Trig/Calc, Advanced Biology (The hardest class in the school supposedly, which she got a 98% on her final), Drama, Creative Writing, English, Oklahoma History, and Financial Literacy. I heard good things about all her classes, surprisingly. I thought she would be bored in Oklahoma History since she’s studied it before, but her teacher for that class included lots of current events and taught with an enthusiasm that brought out the best in Sera. She loved the challenge of math and science. She adored Creative Writing, and I loved seeing her actually put her beautiful words down on paper instead of just in her head. It was a great year!

Serenity doesn’t use her phone for much other than reading and texting me to pick her up, but she did take a few selfies for me this year, and the were EXQUISITE! She got to go on a field trip to the zoo with Advanced Bio, and she sent me selfies of her with the snow leopards, the lovely hibiscus, and the tiger statue. Then, one day snakes visited all the biology classes and she actually spoke to a classmate to get pictures of her with each snake. She loves them!

Last day of Freshman year! She got to embrace the beanie esthetic that she discovered at her drama performance thanks to a Hats Off to the Year dress up theme. So cute! Plus she got two hundreds and two 98s on her finals so she evidently learned a LOT her freshman year!
