Family Fun Winter 2024
We started the year our favorite way… with New Year’s at the Richard’s house! Abbey rented the Eras tour for me to watch, which I loved so much I made a Swiftie in Training playlist for the car that we’ve been listening to ever since. Sera worked on a gem coaster kit, and everyone enjoyed some game time! It’s the happiest kind of New Years =)
Skylander revival! The kids drafted their favorites, made an awesome chart, and played together for hours. The bean bag conglomerate is awesome =)
Rose Rock opened a place on Cherry Street! So much easier for us! Yum!
1/27: Ice cream with my girls while the boys are off gaming One last scoop of Ube 🥰
Haircut!
Maia got an escape room game for Christmas! I love figuring out puzzles with her, it’s a blast!!!!
Maia and I repainted my room! She is such good help. I thought I could take the bed apart by myself since Eric was out of town, but I couldn’t. She pitched right in, helping with the prep work and rolled everything she could reach! And she helped me put it all back together too 🥰 The color is Upward by Sherwin Williams, and I love it! I’ve been thinking for a couple years that the walls were getting very dingy, but since I liked the old color I wasn’t excited about just painting it the same. But when I saw this in a Pottery Barn ad I was ready to roll! Sooooo glad my bedding and chair still looks good! And it works with the trim and ceiling too! Such a relief since I didn’t want to paint ceilings 😂😂😂. I could barely move this morning as it was 😜
We had a fun day for Donovan’s Diaversary. I got new funny shirts for everyone. Mine says Mama Bear =) We went to Urban Air, IHOP, and had lots of Nerf and gaming fun at home =)
I did a Frozen Feet challenge in February where the goal was to walk outside a mile every day. Finn loved it! I had some kid company on occasion but it actually felt pretty good to get moving outside. It helped that the weather was mostly reasonably nice =)
Eric made a chart for our Pandemic Adventure! We finished one page! Out of four…
Went to see Wicked in OKC! It was Maia’s first time. 🥰. I wasn’t sure she loved it because there were so many tears, but they begged to play the soundtrack and discussed the show the whole way home! Sera wore her new green dress that we actually braved the mall to buy. Maia didn’t realize so many people would be wearing green for Elphaba, but she wore her fancy dress so we had one Glinda in the mix 😜
Jason reintroduced us to this Heads Up iphone game and it is SO much fun! We all really get into it, especially when the topic is Greek Mythology or Harry Potter. =)
