December 13th & 14th: Shopping and Crafts!

December 14th was craft day! Maia jumped right in, as usual, coloring a wood tree in the morning before school and putting it by my bed for me 🥰. She pulled out these snowflakes this evening, and she and I had so much fun painting that everyone joined in eventually 🤩. I also did some sewing, making an elf costume for Sera’s monologue.

Maia got a model of Space Mountain to build as her souvenir! She wanted to make it immediately and managed it mostly on her own! It snapped together pretty well! She wants to go back and get the Disney castle model next 😂 It’s been sitting by the television ever since and it really is a perfect memento.

Maia really missed Finn! She said that was the only downside. He stayed with Mom though and was a good puppy for great grandma 😂🥰

Dec 13th… Christmas shopping! For once the spread out pickup schedule worked in my favor 😜. I took the kids to five below, and turned them loose with cash to get presents for their siblings and anyone else they wanted to shop for. Checkout was interesting, as all three kids have very different personalities. DZ wanted me to do it for him, Maia had no problems getting store people to help her figure it out, and Sera did some of each. We had fun!!
