Rose Hill
Going to Rose Hill is a tradition for third grade that I was afraid might not happen because of Covid! The school had to cancel all field trips for the year, which was absolutely the safe way to go, especially since they decided that at the beginning of the year when everything was so uncertain. By spring, however, I began to think that going to Rose Hill could actually be done fairly safely, now that adults could be vaccinated, and with it just being our class and one extra person, with everyone masked. So I messaged Rose Hill on Facebook and begged them to let me plan the field trip as a parent, and they agreed!! So I invited the whole class, and with extra spaces I let siblings come too. We had such a great turn out, considering we had very little notice and it was SUCH FUN!! We got DZ a cute little vest and hat to dress up in, and we baked the cookies for his lunch pail and everything. All the little prairie dresses I had were borrowed by some of Donovan’s friends too. It was the perfect end to the school year! I think his favorite part was getting to carpool with his friends Hatcher and Trip. And the Flying Jenny, everyone loves that. We even lucked out with a beautiful day!
