Serenity's Spa Sleepover Birthday!
For her 12th birthday we had Serenity’s Sloth Spa Sleepover . I think it’s the best quarantine birthday theme
The decorations were fun! I got giant rose gold balloons in the number 12, and a sloth coloring page that filled a whole wall. I had seen a fun idea for a birthday door decoration, so I made a giant card with 12 reasons we love Serenity, one for each year. She is kind, snuggly, imaginative, determined, hilarious, a voracious reader, flexible, friendly, silly, thoughtful, intelligent, and awesome! I made a balloon arch to decorate above the new yoga swing, and added some vines. A few balloons were on the ground, and inside were all the different fun sloth activities I had planned! We also used the cool chair she bought downstairs in the office by the Switch for a birthday video game throne. The birthday girl specifically asked to get the jungle gym from her Papa back out! The gift that keeps on giving!!! Papa is soo good to us and always helps with birthday fun, even in quarantine! Eric and I managed to put it together again fairly quickly.
The look on Serenity’s face when she walked in the room was amazing! It made dislocating my jaw blowing up balloons totally worth it We began with breakfast donuts, jungle gym and swing time, sloth charades and Animal Crossing! She got to play that online with Liz later . She loved the new blanket and sloth that were waiting for her in her chair. She named the sloth Slowest
We finished off the day with Nailed-It Sloth Edition and a Sloth Spa. Serenity got a bath fizzy with a Sloth necklace and we played spin the bottle nail polish where you spin to see what color you paint next . My toes are fancy too!
Nailed-It was fun for the girls! Just like on Nailed-It when they run out of time, we used Rice Krispie treats for our cake base. The girls colored their fondant and Jen loaned us cake frosting tips. Serenity’s piping is way better than mine. Maia was piping with me and she was like, we’re going to have to clean the floor and I looked down and I had squeezed half a bag onto the floor The funniest part is, when we were trying to get out the piping bag Maia shook her head and said “Aunt Jen should have sent instructions”. I was all like, Naaahhh, we can totally do it . She was right!
We had Mad Libs and Would You Rather Jungle Edition. A must for sleepovers. And we had sloth jammies and sloth sleep masks!
