Fantastico Hiking Day!
We did a nice long hike one day to a waterfall. We had a map that said this was a medium intensity hike, and since nearly everyone came on the hike we figured at some point those with tiny children or strollers would turn back. We all made it much farther than I expected! The kids went a long way, and a long way on their own feet. We finally made it to a beautiful creek and small waterfall. It wasn’t the waterfall mentioned on the map, but it felt like a victory anyway. And even though I wasn’t too tired at that point, I figured Maia at least would need to be carried some on the way back (she’d gone the whole way up herself!) so it felt prudent to turn back. Serenity really wanted to continue though, and Corwyn, Eric, Jack, and Adam went with her. The 5 of them almost turned back before reaching the waterfall. As the decision to turn around was made a couple came walking down the trail and told them they were only 5 minutes away from the waterfall, so they ended up making it!
So sweet holding hands!
Riding the gondola to the trail
Maia was very willing to pose with the beautiful wildflowers!
Daddy loves tree pictures!
Corwyn and Serenity led the way! Adam very kindly kept them in sight so we didn’t lose them =)
Rock stacking was popular art on our hike =)
We found a creek! It was so beautiful! There was a nice chain of people to help the kids across the log =)
Xiao and Marcus have the same beautiful smile!
The explorers who went to the end of the trail!
