Hi.

Welcome!

Serenity's Favorite Music

mothersday2010merged Favorite Music

Honey Honey:  I can’t even begin to count how many times we’ve listened to this song!  I put it on a mix CD and sometimes we listened to it on repeat all the way to Papa’s house!  She even sings this song sometimes, and it is pretty funny to hear a toddler say “honey honey how he frills me uh huh honey honey!”

Daddy Singing Singin in the Rain: Daddy sometimes sings her to sleep, and it’s typically either Singing in the Rain, Jolly Holiday or Row Row Row your Boat.  Singing in the Rain is her favorite though =)  Eric likes to say he made someone that likes his singing!

Zip-ah-dee-doo-dah: I love this song so it’s one I sang, and then I started doing it when I zipped up her coats… and so now we always sing it when we’re zipping up =)  Serenity knows all the lyrics to this one too =)

Old Macdonald: There were a couple of months, around month 14 to 16 where we sang this everywhere we went.  I loved it because it meant Serenity could always be soothed in the car, even if I sang myself hoarse.  We got pretty outlandish adding animals, Tina says that the fish goes “glub glub”

Glee!!!: I got completely addicted to this show, so I downloaded a cd full of their songs.  It has been our car soundtrack for a few months now and we’re still not tired of it!  Serenity asks to listen to nearly every song at least three times in a row, although there are some big favorites =)

Somebody to Love :Tina sang this song for her first, and she still associates it with Tina.  We have a glee version so we sing it all the time =)

Smgroedena: This is a song Ann and John sing her that has a funny dance.  Serenity loves it!  It’s about a frog and how he doesn’t have ears or a tail.  Hopping is involved.  Enough said.

Jolly Holiday: Mary Poppins was our go-to lullaby song, and it still works!

Jingle Bells: This is Serenity’s favorite Christmas song!  She says “Jingle Bells!” whenever we have bells in music class. =)

Halo/Walking on Sunshine Mashup: This was the first glee song we kept on repeat for more than ten times in a row =)

Can’t Stop Believin’

Sweet Caroline

Beautiful : This song has led to several funny moments, including one in music class where Serenity said “I AM beautiful!”  Loudly. =)

Say A Little Prayer

Little Raindrops: This is a song from music class.  I realized that Serenity really loved it after a week of wondering what “womba womba to the GROUND” meant.  Finally I realized it was “one by one onto the ground” which is how the little raindrops fall.

Five Little Ducklings :Another music class favorite, Serenity will do fill-in-the blank singing on this one, and I’ve heard her sing it on her own a few times.  I love that she does the motions with it!

Tingalayo: This is a music class song that I play on our new piano!

Defying Gravity: Pretty cute to hear the words “defying gravity” coming out of your 22 month old =)

Sleigh Ride: I think Serenity likes the part that goes “giddyup giddyup giddyup lets go!”

We’re on our way (To Papa’s House)

Ba Ba Billy Illy Inkum Kiddy Kum Kimo

Money Money Money

Row Row Row Your Boat

“ding a ga, ding a ga” I have no idea what this is really, but I have to write it down somewhere and I suppose it could be singing… Serenity says this all the time.  I cannot figure it out!  Hopefully it’s like womba womba and I will eventually =)  You all know I can’t deal with mysteries!
