My friend Abbey who is a much cooler blogger than I am put up Five Random Things for Friday on her site and requested some of her blogger friends join in... so here I go =) 1.) I am currently downloading Glee soundtracks on itunes. I am completely addicted to this show! Patricia recommended it to me and now it's the only one I watch, at least until there's a new season of SYTYCD. Anyone who knows me knows I am crazy for singing and dancing shows, musicals, anything, and this is just so much fun! Eric even watches it with me!
2.) My favorite hobby at the moment is finding fun craft projects to do with Serenity. I spend a lot of time on www.familyfun.com searching for ideas, and I follow a lot of blogs with my lovely indispensable Google Reader. Some of our recent successes include making butterflies from clothespins and coffee filters, painting with crazy brushes, and handprint pictures. Serenity asked me to do crafts three different times yesterday! We ended up making a ladybug from a paper plate (the first of at least a hundred paper plate projects as that is the smallest amount you can buy), and we painted with our new letter stamps using the letters in her name (in no particular order) and then while Carson and Raegan were over we used markers! They colored puzzles but Serenity just used paper.
3.) I'm back on the Sonoma diet and back into cooking, (at least when I can't get my sister to do it for me) In the last two weeks I've made Turkey Mango Melts, Kabobs with Pineapple Teriyaki, and a whole lot of things with basil =)
4.) I am plotting to go to Lowes tonight and get edging for my flower beds. I want to curve them and get rid of the bricks that seem like tripping hazards to me. I also need to spread out the mulch I bought before it kills my grass. My larkspur is actually blooming and we got two strawberries, so I think things are going fairly well garden-wise!
5.) I made Serenity a sand box yesterday. Well, it's really a sand tub with one fifty pound bag of sand. When we were pouring sand into the tub, Serenity said, "I like it Mama, I like the sand Mama!!! I like sand very much!" So I guess it was a good idea ;) She scattered it everywhere but when we empty that tub I can go back and get another three dollar bag of sand I guess =)
Well, hope that was good enough =) Abbey's usually have more awesome pictures and way more fun links but this is all I've got for now!
